{"id":39,"date":"2016-04-11T22:02:38","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T02:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preciouseyes2020.com\/?page_id=39"},"modified":"2019-06-28T17:34:46","modified_gmt":"2019-06-28T21:34:46","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/preciouseyes2020.com\/?page_id=39","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Read more about services provided at this location.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comprehensive Eye examination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Patel will determine an eyeglass prescription after discussing with you what your lifestyle and visual demands are.\u00a0No-line bifocals, computer vision glasses, or prescription sunglasses are some of the options available.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact Lens Evaluations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>A trial pair of contacts will be dispensed to the patient and evaluation of vision, comfort, and proper fitting of the lenses is performed.\u00a0 Biomicroscopy of the eyes to make sure no infection, irritation, or lack of oxygen exists due to contact lens wear. All contact lens patients are also given a prescription for glasses and advised to always have a back-up pair at home.<\/p>\n<p>Our office fits a wide variety of soft contact lenses to suit our patients\u2019 visual &amp; lifestyle needs. We fit all the major brands of lenses in daily, bi-weekly, and monthly modalities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spherical Lenses<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Toric\/Astigmatism Lenses<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monovision \/ Multifocal Lenses for those patients over the age of 40<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For new wearers: a one-on-one instruction on how to insert and remove the lenses is provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dilation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dilation is recommended for all new patients at our office.\u00a0 Eye drops are put in that temporarily cause near vision blur for 3-4 hours.\u00a0 Distance is usually unaffected for most patients. This allows Dr. Patel to evaluate the medical health of the eye to rule out common ocular disorders such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and many more. \u00a0Most eye diseases do not have symptoms and are only detected through a detailed retinal evaluation. \u00a0If you haven\u2019t been dilated before we do recommend bringing a driver on the day of your exam.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medical Office Visits<\/strong> \u2013 Dr. Patel is therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat a variety of eye disease such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), iritis, dry eye syndrome, allergic conjunctivitis, and many other infections.\u00a0 She can prescribe topical as well as oral medications to treat these disorders and we accept many medical insurance plans for these visits.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you a Diabetic?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Did you know that diabetes can cause ocular complications?
